At 49 years old, with the courage, charisma and determination to “deliver,” Johnson has grown from professional wrestler to movie star, important businessman, and someone nearly half of America would like to see as the next president of the United States. United States, according to one. poll. debuted his biopic “Young Rock,” posted unprecedented sales growth with his Teremana tequila.

The most followed American man on Instagram with 285 million followers. CNN spoke to Johnson this week about his monumental year. He addressed the hype surrounding his possible return to the “Fast and the Furious” franchise and his potential political ambitions. He also offered a glimpse of how he plans to top his box office success in 2021. Our conversation, which has been lightly edited for flow and clarity, follows below.

Have you seen any big hits, some highlights? On reflection, something you wish you had done differently I worked hard, had some luck on my side, and was able to accomplish a few things in 2021. Some highlights that come to mind, one would be completing two massive Seven Bucks Productions movies, ‘Red Notice’ and ‘Black Adam.’ ‘(Launching in 2022). Both presented many challenges during Covid.

But like many companies, we adjust, gain clarity, create our new Covid strategy, and get down to business. Seven Bucks just completed: two, too. weeks ago – our second season of NBC’s ‘Young Rock’. I’m quite proud of everyone’s efforts and talents to get the job done and deliver quality. And the other companies in my portfolio have shown tremendous growth and moved well in 2021.

Teremana Tequila, ZOA Energy, Project Rock and XFL. For anything I would have done differently in 2021, sure, I would have listened to my instincts when they told me to slow down a bit. Enjoy these moments even though. n more with your family and friends, because at the end of the day these moments of joy are the shit that really matters in life. Sorry to curse, but that’s the truth. A good lesson to always listen to that voice in your gut.
